StorPlace Self Storage Explores Customer Service: Is it really that Important?

At StorPlace Self Storage of StonesRiver we pride ourselves in good customer service.  In the past   customers have expressed gratitude for a “well run business” and wanted to share their feelings.  Some say their overall experience was very impressive.  Some customers have commented on cleanliness and the overall operations of the facility. In other cases instant friendships through conversation and atmosphere have often been the result of someone just stopping in to buy a box.

  Having worked several years with the public and being in a customer service atmosphere for so long…sometimes it is easy to forget that employees are the face of any business… employees are the heart… and /or the heartlessness of the everyday ho hum, general life and routine of what happens in it.  None of us realize from day to day the influence and power we have to influence and affect one another. We may never know what friendly word might just make a difference to someone else.  The way we act might not matter at all, but we never know it might. 

  Years ago, on a plane to managers’ meetings out west, there in the pocket of the seat in front was the  “Sky Miles” magazine…As anyone who has ever flown those friendly skies before knows…on a long airline trip… sometimes a person will just about read or flip through anything to pass the time.  On this particular trip, in the magazine was a plaque that could be ordered and purchased for about $59. (At the time not an easy price to scratch together.) But if you come into the StonesRiver, Murfreesboro Nashville,Tn. store today, it proudly is displayed on the wall. The Store manager of this location said it has followed her from one manager position to another and that she hopes that its gentle reminder will indeed keep reminding her through the years of the importance of the message.
